Alegria - My name is Diego Homem

Alegria is the Portuguese word for happiness and joyfulness, a little bit of each, and it has a good reason to be the title of this post, the first one of many I hope. I would like to start this blog, which has no other purpose than talk about the subjects of my interest, speaking about the beautiful spectacle named Alegria from Cirque du Soleil.

It is definitely the best representation of the modern circus, blending beautiful melodies with astonish performances that demands the max of the human body. But what really impressed me was that they are the perfect example of a successful project, thought to entertain people for almost 2 hours with a journey, with a beginning, middle and an end.

And this is exactly how I think that a good project should be developed. A well thought start, full of energy, a development over helmed in sweaty and tears and a delivery followed by smiles and compliments.

After five years involved with internet and software, using and developing them, I believe this is how things works. No pain no gain, and a lot of fun in the middle!
